Maybe the DB already supports Unicode!

If not, you could base64_encode before putting texts into it.But text would take more room.

The URL contains only basic ascii (it's urlencoded with %%% characters).
It's the titles of the pages that contain special character and that don't display well in statcounter result pages.

It concerns the character set encoding used by the Statcounter database. It currently does not support non-latin based character sets. So query strings in character sets that are not based on the latin set will be unreadable when reported on. For instance Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Greek.

Default results from IDN domains

My control panel has stopped displaying results that have European Alphabet letters included in my IDN domains

instead of the correct result (example) -
Entry Page:aeioú.com / Exit Page:aeioú.com

I get - Entry Page:aeio.com / Exit Page:aeio.com

!?

You mean you have what's known as an international name domain?
or you have pages with non US-ASCII characters ?

I know you should not use accented characters and other special characters in page names, because search engines will get confused and you will have trouble with them.

As I said the Referring URL:
www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=aeio.com&btnG=Google Search

shows an Entry Page:aeio.com/

in April the result was correctly Entry Page:aeio.com/

this vBulletin® is not accepting The European Alphabet !

I didn't think that domain would show up like that either. I thought the accented u would show up as some number.

What happens if you change the encoding in View? Is there an encoding which may show that?

VBulletin takes the characters OK if you enter them OK

I can enter à â é è î è ç and for others I don't have the proper mapping on my keyboard myself, as I never figured out which keyboard layoyut I shoul duse with my suppsoedly multilingual keyboard

Right here in the forum the accented French characters are showing OK.

In keywords stats reports they show OK for me too.
This used to be a problem some time ago but it seems to have been fixed.

I wonder why you see different.
