Default What's in a name? A Rose by another name would smell as sweet...

"What's in a name?

A Rose by another name would smell as sweet..."

Excuse us? What's in a name? A whole lot! That's what!

PARTICULARLY when that name can:

- Help you identify click fraudsters
- Make it easier to see when "the competition" has visited your site
- Identify recurring visitors
- Let you see just how many times your mom has been admiring your site...

So no more spreadsheets, no more post-it notes – now you can name IP addresses which visit your site.

- Login to your account.
- Click the stats for your project.
- Click "Recent Visitor Activity"
- Click the new "Label IP Address"
- Give it a description and you're DONE!

This also works for "Recent Pageload Activity", "Visitor Paths" and the "Recent Visitor Map"!

Thanks for getting the ball rolling on this Rose

You wanted it. You got it.

Thanks, at least we won't have to explain why and why not .... Now only explain how

I've been hoping for this feature since I joined, but I just figured it was probably technically cost- or time-prohibitive. Kudos!

I am not crazy about this personally. Someone has me labeled with my first and last name in their PUBLIC stats. Can't this information be omitted from public stats?

yes, that's no good.

my stats are not public, and i'm labeling them for my eyes only.

nifty - love it - but wouldn't want to see me labeled on someone else's stats either.

Default Don't understand this !!

I"m all for keeping things on the straight and narrow but I think I"m missing something here.
I went to my site and yes, I can see the Label IP address link..there is one beside every visitor.... so now what.. I have to give a name to every IP address that has gone to my site... ??? Holy Toledo.... !! Tell me it isn't so...!!

What do I call them, Curly, Moe, three stooges..Winkin, Blinkin and Nod....?? Sorry, I really don't understand. There is one person from Reston Virginia that practically lives on my site..and I"m sure curious to know who that is...LOL

Please explain.... I"ll gladly comply if I know what the heck to do.

Thanks
Celeryhart
