If someone copied the source code of one of my web pages containing Statcounter code and pasted it into one of their own web pages in their own website, how will I know from my own Statcounter stats that this has happened ?
Is it through the Entry Page ( to my website ) information ? What is puzzling me about this is: I would have thought that those who rob other people's web pages would take care to remove any statcounter code from the stolen web pages in order to evade detection surely. ------- To stop those hits from being recorded, it says that I simply need to generate a new StatCounter Security Code for my project, and then install the new code on my website. How do I do this ? What is puzzling me about this is: As far as I know, the Statcounter code at the bottom of each web page shows the current security code. So even if you change it, any offending party can find out what it is. So I ask. What is the point of changing the security code ? ----- Lastly, is there an Internet authority that can deal with this breach of copyright by those who rob other people's web pages ? Thank you. |
