I installed statcounter code in one of my website (http://www.searchusapeople.com/) a month ago and realized it didn't show much stats daily but my Adsense account shows me that I got quite a stable stream of clicks everyday. What could be wrong here?
Also I realized my other website sometimes have stats shown as a string of number appearing for e.g. No referring link 43-000000008BE7BDEE78F1FE49AA0FAD9BBE6BBC10447D2E00/ What does this mean? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you. |

Hi
You only have the counter code on your home page. You have no Google ads on your home page. The pages that you do have ads on has no counter code. There's your problem. You need to install the code on a common page element used by all pages, like a footer template. |

Thank you Carguy for the fast response. I did install the stat code in every page but somehow the statcounter didn't reflect the actual stats.
I do not have problem with other of my sites so far, only the stats for this site doesn't tally with the clicks shown in my Adsense account. I'm just curious what is going on. |

You cannot trust most of the "packaged" sites to install and handle code correctly. It can "dissapear" after site updates.
To ensure a page will be tracked, you MUST view the page source after any changes to the site. From your browser, view a modified or updated page. On your toolbar select View, then "Source code" or "page source". Then Edit, then search for "statcounter". If you do not see your Statcounter code, as you received it from Statcounter, it WILL NOT track that page. |
