Default Don't count me in

Hi there,

How do I make sure statcounter isn't counting my own visits to my sites?

Hi Jo

To stop your own visits from being counted, click the little wrench to the right or your project.

Then if you have an IP that doesn't change
, click Edit Settings.
Enter your IP at the bottom and click Edit Project (tip, your current IP is shown in the text to the left)

If your IP changes often, then click Create blocking cookie instead.

I think I'll have to install the cookies.
But does this mean I'll have to re-install them everytime I clean my computer?

Yes it does, and if you have any programs like Spybot or Kaspersky you will have to set each of those up to "allow" Statcounter cookies.
