Hi Everyone:
Is there a way to configure the counter to use a graphical image instead of just the simple background and foreground option? |

Well, one of the (first?) options you have when creating your counter with the Code Setup Wizard is to choose what kind of StatCounter Code do you need/want. One kind is the "Button Only", and that option will generate code that simply displays a StatCounter button, with no numbers.
You can just choose to have the counter invisible, no numbers, no buttons, nothing. If you want it visible with numbers, you can choose the text counter option. All the options are there, don't rush through the code setup so you miss the options. Re generate the code and choose what you want. Click on the wrench icon for your project and then on the "Install Code" link.

Arne:
Thanks for your info. I am familiar with what you said. What I am trying to do is use a counter which could've a graphical code in the source [using jpeg or gif] representing the numbers. |

Sorry, for a graphical counter only the options you get when you configure it are available, nothing else.
You can also use a text counter and style it using css pretty much any way you like.
