Default My noscript part of StatCounter disappeared?

I checked this with Webado a couple of months ago. In my site http://catch22blog.com , the noscript part of StatCounter was missing, so I put it in the sidebar beneath the image in the first <div>.

Today I disabled JavaScript to check a plugin, and the the noscript was missing. How could it have disappeared? Where can I get the code to put in again?

Thx.

Just generate the counter code again, for the project. Click on the wrench icon for the project and then on the "Install Code" link on the "Installation and Configuration" page. You can replace the old code with the new, or just copy and paste the noscript part of the new code.

Almost "anything" can happen on a blog, The whole or part of code can disappear on edit and/or when uploading to the server.

Attention! When reporting problems with your counter, please tell what
partition yours is on by looking at the code you inserted and you will see:
var sc_partition=xx; in the Javascript portion, where "xx" is the number.

Thank you very much. It is strange, though. Your plugin requests simply the the sc_project, sc_partition and sc_security. Why do I have to manually drop in part of the code?

The WordPress plugin should do it all, right?

Aha, you have used the plugin before? Don't use it if you don't really need to. Try if you can add the full code "manually", don't choose any specific option for the code to generate. The plugin's are not "up to date" I think, a full code looks like this:

Quote:
<!-- Start of StatCounter Code -->
<script type="text/javascript">
var sc_project=xxxxxxx;
var sc_invisible=1;
var sc_partition=34;
var sc_click_stat=1;
var sc_security="yyyyyyy";
</script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.statcounter.com/counter/counter_test.js"></script><noscript><div class="statcounter"><a href="http://www.statcounter.com/"><img class="statcounter" src="http://c.statcounter.com/xxxxxxx/0/yyyyyyy/1/" alt="screen resolution stats" ></a></div></noscript>
<!-- End of StatCounter Code -->
Just paste the code in the footer part of the blog template, "footer.php" or what ever it is called, as in any other ordinary php website where parts of the pages are included. As I think your blog software is self hosted, this should be possible and a better option.

Thanks. I inserted the code manually.

Any reason why the noscript part of the code directs to a directory "wordpress.org" within statcounter.com? Do you collect stats of wordpress users?

Thanks again.

That is just the alt text for the image within the noscript part of the code, randomly added. The alt text is requested to make the code w3c valid. You could say it "works" as an ad, useful for those searching for a counter to their wordpress.org site since Search engines also index alt text's.

My Statcounter code has "blog stats" as alt text, useful for those looking for a counter to their blog. An other site has "counter customizable free hit" as alt text. They have no connection to your stats.
