Hi,I've just tested SC in Opera 10.01, looks very stange to me. The table HTML tags are displayed with blue boxes around the content. Can anyone else see the same thing? Here is a screenshot at w w w.donsideplastics.co.uk/tw.html Ed |

hey, that looks like having a "webmaster tool" similar to what I have in Seamonkey and IE8. And with those tools, I can outline e.g. tables and table cells also with the element names displayed. Do you happen to have something similar in that Opera version also? If you have, it could explain everything if the outlining is on.

I agree with you Arne, I have no tools with Opera 10.01.
I have a similar tool in Firefox called called Firebug which I would recommend to everyone. Our own site is ok in Opera no problems. I have checked more of our pages, when a table appears we have same problem. I updated Opera 10 a few days ago, I think there must be a bug in the browser. Anyone agree? Do your own site have any tables, or have you checked other sites built the same way as Statcounter (table layout)? Perhaps you should ask Opera.com support what they think about this.

I just installed Opera 10.01 in Vista and there's no problem viewing any pages. It's just slow and needsfrequent page refresh, just like IE does.
I suspect you may have enabled some developer tool which shows the code.

I've asked the same question in the Opera forum.

Developer tools come automatically with this version of Opera.
But at least from what i saw with mine, I had to go Tools > ADvanced > Developer and then it splits the screen to show some code structure. The line where the screen is split can be moved up and down, so it's possible it was moved all the way up so only the code structure is seem.

Thanks webado I've have since found that tool it's much like Firebug, but that's not the answer. I've tested Opera 10.00 on another pc using XP and it's fine.
I've found the answer in Opera forum it's an option in the style menu, all's well. Look in View|Style untick table structure! Ed Last edited by edintheclouds; 11-09-2009 at 02:58 PM. Reason: Solved |
