Can a predetermined hitcount trigger a graphic display?

First I'd like to say how happy I've been with StatCounter, the features are amazing!
I've had this idea for a while. I was wondering if there was any way to make my website display some kind of festive graphic display, like balloons or champagne bottles or something like that, and have it triggered by my StatCounter reach 10,000 hits. Since my website has just passed 9,200 hits, I thought now would be a good time to ask this.
I realize this is a silly idea, but developing my website has been a genuinely fun hobby for me (and just a hobby!) so I thought I'd try to just add to the fun.

I would think it to be possible. But, most of the work is done on the SC servers and via javascript, SC returns a image with your number of hits. It would take perhaps a small program change on both ends. I'm guessing and not super up on javascript, but maybe SC could on their end create a new variable that could be returned to your webpage. You would need to add code pick up the returned variable, then compare to that and bingo!!! Just an idea and just dunno if that could work anyhow.

rotarysteve, hey thanks for your input. Your concept makes sense to me, I suppose that it's something that won't happen because there's probably so little call for it. That's OK, though. I wonder if anyone from StatCounter will contribute their thoughts?

The script kiddies have "screen readers" to automate busting CAPTCHAs, that's what you'd need to do it without SCs help I think.

Screen readers are unable to read an image itself, but can read the alt tag "alternate text" that should be associated with the image. My counters seem to have alt text associated with them but it seems that the text is being pulled from the title tag of the containing "div". Hmmmmmmmmmm........

Incorrect. Hackers have readers that do. That's why half the CAPTCHAs out there are twisted up and almost impossible to read even by a human. Heck, there are sites out there that can identify fonts from an image.

I must be talking about a completely different program. OCR Would read text in images hence comes the CAPTCHA.

Statcounter can display your counter as a text string instead of as an image.
Therefore the numeric value could eventually be captured and used to trigger some other script that does something festive. Maybe it uses a different styling to display the counter.

You'll need to be pretty good with javascript.

You could watch your site closely and when you see it hit that magical number add something to it - maybe change the styling of the area where you display the counter to something jubilant You don't have to do it at the very moment it happens
