Hi,
The following URL uses a framset of two frames (top and down), http://www.knowledgenotebook.com/knbweb.html As I recall SC needs to be right above the end BODY tag since this tag is not acceptable for a frameset I placed the SC code right before the end HTML tag. Visit stats is not tracked. Am I not doing it right or is there a solution to it? Thanks in advance. |

I think you'll find that the solution is putting the code in the main frame pages, not the frameset page.

The frame setter file is the wrong place for the counter code, as it is only the frame setter with no real visual content.
You should have the code in the files that are loaded in the main frame, the "down" frame in your case. |

Hi,
I'm new at Statcounter, and just made my first profile. My website is a framed one, it has a topframe, a menuframe, and a mainframe. I pasted the code in all pages that wind up in the mainframe, just before the </body> tag. And also in the index page, which doesn't have frames. When having StatCounter check the installation, it told me that it only found one page correct: the index page. It couldn't find the code on the other pages. What is wrong? How can I fix this? The website = http://www.texastawk.com Thanks already UPDATE: I visited the website and then went back to check the stats, and guess what: it DID mention exactly which pages were visited. Anyway, it works fine for what I'm using it for it seems. I guess the message "not found" in code check isn't something to alarm the editor right away ... Looks like a nice site. It's a darn shame you treat over 85% of your visitors like second class citizens.

Thanks for the compliment bobby131313
I guess your comment on the visitors refers to the browser use? Well, in that case: I haven't found a working solution yet. The thing is: Only Google Chrome will exactly show my 3rd party add-ons (such as facebook, Wordpress) as I meant them to be, and IE also keeps showing the box around a menu button, even if I put the script to avoid it. Fact is, the website is html & frames, and I realize that php and such would work better, but I simply can't find the time to study on those. This is why I put "best viewed with Google Chrome", until I can come up with solutions that'll work in html to get rid of the problems in IE and some other browsers ... Thanks for the advice though, and I'm keeping it in mind |

IE is indeed a pain in the ass. I curse it almost every day.

I can't see any difference on the site, about what you mentioned anyway. Checked with Chrome, my main browser Seamonkey (old version), and with IE. With IE's Web Developer tool, I could look at the site as it looks in IE7, IE8 and IE9, and no difference that I could see. |
