Bad accuracy in overview makes it average/ok
I hope a new method of tacking uniqe visitors apart from cookie only will be implemented soon because the overviews based on cookies are pretty much useless like they are now. No way to see the trends because of double, triple quadriple and up entries.
Something is seriously wrong with the current method. 30 to 50 percent cookieless visitors, no way possible. There will always be a difference between different tracking/stats programs but statcounter is the only one outside the normal deviation ( sometimes up to 300%) when compared to other stats programs.
The detailed stats are excellent and the reason I'm still using statcounter. I use other stat programs for the overview stats.
It would be nice to use just one program.
If you only have a couple of sites, statcounter is great. The not so accurate overview isn't a big problem because you have the time to inspect the detailed stats for only 2 or 3 sites.
If you have big networks you do not have the time to check the detailed stats of every single site to calculate you uniqe visitors. With big networks a good working overview to clearly see trends is a necessity, and it's here where statcounter fails.
