Motorwatcher,

Thank you! Wuv you motorwatcher! Incidentally, I did put a link to you on my site http://www.shopdrops.com/latestbuzz.html Please give me a better description to the one I have.
Thanks.

Arne,

My home page looks awful on Mozilla! Even the preview that Alexa gives my site looks exactly like the ones you sent me. I looked at the script and made sure they are closed (</a>). Should I put in more spaces between the menus and the texts? And if I did, won't it look bad also for the IE (is that the right term?) non-Mozilla browsers.

Please help me! And thank you for your time and effort to make me understand my site better,

China Tea

Hi China Tea,

When I clicked on your link it reverted to your home page. My guess is that the fullstop (sorry, period) after the address is confusing things. Edit your post so that it is just a space after 'latestbuzz.html' and that'll fix it.

Hi China Tea,

Quite embarrased about the thread. I will give you a desc. when I now where I am going if thats OK?

Not sure about the "coming out" bit. It has connotations.

No, it don't look awful at all. Just some difference in the bottom part that is easy to fix

If you like, you can pick up a copy of your homepage (index.html) from the URL below. I downloaded it and make the minor changes that should make it look the same in Mozilla as it does in IE

http://web.telia.com/~u97802875/shopdrops.html

Take a look at it, and if you like it just download it. Change the filename to index.html and put it up to your server so it replace the current index.html file. I hav'nt change much, so my changes should not get messed up when you make updates with your editor what ever it is

Default "coming out" - Motorwatcher and ARNE

ha ha ha too! Chris, isn't that comical that I used that phrase on our motorwatcher?

Seriously, I used the phrase in its literal meaning (which is my natural way of speaking English) I am sorry, motorwatcher ---- now I realize that "coming out" can be interpreted as an intent to declare one's "preferences! Well, that's why I have been asking for a description from you! Please hurry up with a brief info, otherwise, that coming out party will stay!

Arne,

I know I am sounding more and more web-disabled, but I do not (scared) understand the steps:

Quote:
Change the filename to index.html and put it up to your server so it replace the current index.html file.
Note: I am merely using the built-in pages of Yahoo's store and I edit/add my pages through the Editor.

Can you perhaps just give me a copy of the script that would replace the
flawed script (if that is the problem)?

Arne, I appreciate your time and I wish I could "sprechen Deutsch" (German is close to Swedish, nein?) but at least I can say DANKE! (or is it Danka)?

Hello John,

Thanks for the notice.

What messed it up I think was that I used the URL button (in the tool bar above) on top of my http:____

I already edited my post . . .

Thanks,
China Tea

Sorry, I had forgot how you did your pages. So you do them online on a web based editor at your Yahoo account, I guess? If you can turn the editor to HTML mode (as you probably did when adding the Statcounter code) You could try to replace the part of the code that I have on a text file here: http://web.telia.com/~u97802875/shopdrops.txt

Just highlight all the text and copy it from the browser window, and then highlight the same part of the text on your page (in the editor) and paste it. Most of it is same, but my small changes are on several places, so I belive it's best to copy and paste the whole part.

Not really close but probably little closer than English, because I manage to understand a lot and even speak a tiny bit German even if I never have learned it in school or elseware. "Thank You" is "Danke" in German, "Tack" in Swedish and "Kiitos" in Finnish

It's a plesure to help you in this, I really enjoy it

Hello Arne,

With your code pasted, here is the result

http://www.shopdrops.com/index.html

If I may, can I ask you again to view it from your browser and let me know if ok?

Thank you very much. I appreciate your going to so much length with my front page's script! http://www.shopdrops.com/gracenotes.html is my way of saying thanks to you.

"Tack",
China Tea

Hi China Tea,
That looks good! The font is now the same size and everything in the right place, also in Mozilla

The only thing I would change is the spaces between the different parts, that I see in both browsers. You have two or more linebreaks like this:
Code:

on some places. But that's not an error, only a personal opinion about what you like. So if you like the larger spaces, it's OK. If you like to change it, just remove a linebreak. When I made some changes, I added little space my self with CSS, so those spaces would still be there.
