Default Inktomi and sexy**.blogspot

I got one hit from inktomi and there was no referring link. And got two hits from sexy**.blogspot... is anyone getting these? What does this mean? I also see that they haven't visited my page, or loaded anything... what's going on?

Hi Tinker creek,

I haven't a clue what is going on, nor what it means - but I'm getting the exact same thing !!
Kind of "reassuring" to know that i'm not the only one ...... I'm wondering if they aren't really visiting our sites, but somehow the code for our stats counter is being mimicked (????????????!!!)

Angela.

ok, I tried to fix my title like the other person, but I guess with the replies, it didn't matter anyway.

I've had a couple of those types of sites in my stats. I'll leave them well enough alone in future. One click was more than enough for me, thanks.

LOL! I guess you got quite an eyeful then

I wonder what's worse: those dubious spam incidents involving webloganalyzer (a would-be competitor or Statcounter) or these "other" siets?

Trust me, Chris, some of those sites make St. Catherines Street look kind. Unless they've cleaned up that part of Montreal.

I'd say these are worse. Spam you can just chuck in the bin and forget about it. When it shows up on the stats and you know *you* haven't been there...

*lol* I've got two teenaged daughters who use my computer. I don't quite panic, but I do get concerned. (I panic when they're not looking.)

St- Cat's main attractions have been if not cleaned up, at least moved further east

Well, teens will be teens and parents will be parents. It's a cat and mouse game anyway. They'd worry if you didn't nag and suspect them, also they get upset and offended when you do. You can't win.
