Default Concerns and Questions

Two things....my website is showing up with a lot of blank lines of code that I have to keep removing. My stepson said it could be associated with a counter, but I have suspicions that it could be Google-related. Has anyone else had this experience? If so, can you clue me in?

I also note that every time I log into my web counter page I get a pop-under ad, which is irritating, to say the least. Is there any reason that's necessary?

Otherwise, I'm very impressed with the product.

You're missing a couuple of tags at least on your page: <html> right at the top and </html> right at the bottom. I haven't checked the rest for proper syntax.

You're also enclosing this site in a frame under a different domain name. I fail to see the necessity for this, it really complicates matters a lot plus it will probably cost you in the long run with the search engines as it is tantamount to having 2 identical sites.

Also your frameset is not defined quite completeley, as it provides nothing for a browser that doesn't accept frames.

The pop-up you get on the admin pages of Statcounter comes from one of the advertisers. You should use a pop-up killer. The Google toolbar is good for that. You should also use an anti spyware program like Spybot and an adware cleaner like Ad-Aware.
