Default Nasa shuttle launch

Hey all dont forget about the NASA shuttle launch in less than 1 hour if u are stuck at work like me, watch it over the net for free thru nasa.gov

Actually it's in nearly 2 hours from your post time, at 10:39am EDT - that's in 1h23m from now or so.

according to the live timer on the site it is in 14 minutes from now

True, but they also say it's for 10:39am EDT! It's is now 9:33am EDT!

well now i am confused...they have 2 (live timers) on their site 1 is currently on 2 minutes...the other is on 18 minutes and the live video footage (i dont have speakers at work) has been showing them just beeing sealed in and getting ready.......i dont know

apologies chrisooc, the timers are now actually showing 9 minutes but have been placed on a 40 minute scheduled hold.......i thought that the timers would just run down.

I saw it take off a few years ago (like 1992) when I was in the uSA. it was the loudest, most powerful thing I have ever witnessed. I hate the word awsome, but it was.

Just saw it too - brought the window to the foreground 10 seconds before lift-off. Now it's already at 127 (statute??) miles above Italy. That was mighty fast!

Did I hear speeds of 60000 miles/hour??????
