Default A couple of anniversaries

I had a real nice post started and then Firefox crashed. Lost the whole thing. Oh well, nothing new about having to rewrite posts.

Some of you may have noticed that Sharron's one year anniversary has arrived. At least, it has already arrived for our friends downunder. The rest of us are a little behind them. I wanted to be the first to congratulate her on her always gracious help and advice and on her progress as a web developer/designer over the last twelve months. Congrats, Sharron

The other anniversary is mine. I joined the forum two days after Sharron joined. I made my first post on that day. Interestingly enough, it consisted of wondering if a web site was really the best solution for the question raised.

That thread was started by JWJ about a site he was creating for his boss. The list of contributors was also interesting - JWJ, of course, Christina, Trackerm, and Sharron are still very active members.

It's been a very interesting year. I've learned a lot from my fellow statcounter members. I know I feel my time on this forum is well-spent. Many thanks to everyone who has taken the time to offer advice and criticisms when I've asked for help.

I can't let this opportunity slide by without commenting on the many new friends I've made here on the forum. Friends may seem like a strange word for people I've never met or spoken to in person, but friends they are indeed. People from places as distant as Australia, the UK, Texas, Seattle, even right next door in Wisconsin. So many that I can't mention all of them. Here's to you, friends.

Congratulations to all three of.

My 1st anniversary slipped quietly by. It's my own fault because I don't know when it was. I joined Statcounter on 9th January 2004 but only as a user. It was around October 2004 that I discovered the forum and, due to some problems I was having, decided to stick my neck out and ask a question. I haven't looked back.

Here's hoping we're all still here this time next year.

oh shucks, thanks everyone! I can't say the past year was all enjoyable. But for the most part here in the forum I have been challenged, tested and taught. Many things I have experienced here, patience, friendship, generosity and most of all and I have said it before companionship.

I have been blessed. Thank you one and all.

Congratulations Jonra, Kelly, JWJ and all those for whom we have missed their anniversaries!

The very least I can say is Thank you.

May we continue and may the missing re appear, as they are missed.

Say... who was here before everybody was here? Seems like we don't hear from them very much here...

Oh, it's late and I'm starting to confuse myself...
