Default Blocking IP Range

Hello there!

Apologies for a very possibly extreme n00b question but I could not find this in the FAQ or posted before ...

Can you tell me if it is possible to block an entire IP range (eg. 66.0.0.0) rather than every single IP from that range?

Thank you very much in advance and I am loving Statcounter ... seeing the strange places people are finding your page is quite a good laugh!

Sorry, no. You have to specify a full IP address. It's on everybody's wishlist though and hopefully it will be addressed at some point.

There are scripts that do this very thing. ISP's do it to known Spam operations, however, unless you know EXACLTY what you're doing...DON'T.

In the context of Statcounter, blocking an IP only means not logging hits from an IP. Nothing to do with blocking access to the site for an IP.

Right, sorry, I didn't mean to confuse anyone on that. Yes, the script I was referring to will block those IP's from ever visiting your site itself.
