Red face What have I done?

Google has dropped me like a hot potato.

I have been enjoying a lot of referrals and sales from Google since January. Since Friday, Google referrals have dramatically gone down. Google being my number 1 referrer, my unique visits thus went down dramatically too. Today This is what my search engine wars came out with today:

72.73% MSN
2 18.18% Yahoo!
1 9.09% Google

What is it that Google found repulsive all of a sudden? Can anyone help me win her back?

Default has to be a rogue datacenter

Dunno, I had a similar/opposite experience a couple days back.

I thought I had victory over google as I used my Google Sitemap function.

I've been nothing less than ticked off with google as they won't drop long since dead pages. Well, one day, by gosh with google sitemaps, it only had 14 pages in its index. Well, by gosh, about time as I've been trying to get google to drop a few pages.

To go from about 50 pages to 14 pages over a couple of days, well I thought about time, success for me.

I had to hold back from announcing my success over google. Glad I did as the next day, google sitemaps shows the 50 pages.

Your site is beautiful........ Bonk Bonk Google

Default I hope this is temporary

Thanks for the encouragement, Rotary . . .

I am really worried though. As of this time, 7:45 pm California Time, my search engine wars still has this:

77.78% MSN
11.11% Google
11.11% Yahoo

Have you made any radical changes to the page???

What keywords have you found to be successful. I've been playing and can't get your page to show up on google at this point.........

Default Nothing Radical

Nope . . . Just changed 4 images of new featured items on the front page.

I used to have 26,000 results when I searched for "shopdrops" on google.

Last weekend it went down to 16,000 . . .

Guess what it is today: only 2940.

I used to be #4 for neighborhood shop. Now I'm #16.

Am I getting punished for something that I do not remember doing?

You're just getting results out of a different Google datacenter than before. Remember how many dozen of those there are? they are really not in synch at all.

Default I should feel better, but I'll postpone it

Christina,

I am certain you are right . . . After all, Google just referred a $170.00 sale last night. I should feel better after what you said. but I'll postpone feeling better.
