Hi Guys,
I'm a real fan of statcounter - had it for free for a while and decided to buy for the extra data. My problem is the old zero second visits. My website is www.mailath.com and someone can visit, spend a fair amount of time (including reading the news section) and then bugger off with a zero second visit. I want to know if anyone has tried an introductory page that the user either clicks on or one that automatically disolves into the main page so that the time can be tracked. Cheers Paul M. |

You might end up losing your visitors with artifices like that.
Worry about the number pages visited, not how long they spent on a page But for the news why don't you give a snipet on the homepage with a More.... and continue on another page? I personally hate reading the news in the wee luittle slit of a scrolling div - like looking through a keyhole Yeah, ok, short attention span ...
