Default Sharron's icon Charlie Motorhome

Some of you may remember a while back, Sharron created an icon of my imaginary "Charlie", and gave him a personality that I now use on my website.

I was just checking my stats, and look what I found that someone used in a Google search:

"Charlie's RVing Website"

And guess who was number one?!?!

And, no, I didn't use those words anywhere.

Thanks, Sharron!

Happy to have been of assistance!

lol found out that is the title of a John Steinbeck book! Check your stats, I did alittle more googling. You should see some hits from me! Nice placement too for some what odd but not really vague search terms.

I had weirder ones.

Yes, I see you there. That's pretty interesting that you got hits with those terms.

It sure indicates that Google is being a little more intelligent about search terms than I previously thought.

I do have the term "Charlie Motorhome" there, but many of the other terms are (I would guess) "figured out" by Google, as being reasonable terms someone might use if they'd forgotten the exact name of the website… which certainly must have been the case with the one I noticed earlier today.

That impresses me and makes me a bit more willing to work hard at this.

Were you familiar with the book "Travels with Charley" and just didn't make the connection until now?

A lot of people... and I am among them... got their first taste for RVing from that book.

I was as excited as a kid to find that photograph of his truck, Rocinante. I was also amazed to see how small it is compared to what was in my mind’s eye.

No I just found the book title as I was googling. I've heard of John Steinbeck, and have probably read some of his work in the past, but none that I can recall my title. I've a horrible memory.

Often I will buy a book, start to read it only to discover I've read it before. Bad bad. lol
