Default Myspace does work

this does work with myspace do all the usual things setting up a html statcounter

it should look like this

<!-- Start of StatCounter Code -->
<a href="http://www.statcounter.com/" target="_blank"><img src="Your statcount url" invisible=1" alt="hit counter script" border="0"></a>
<!-- End of StatCounter Code -->

where there is text you will have your projects url copy this to clipboard (ctrl+c) |note you must not copy invisible=1|

now Google shorten url these are services that create shorter urls that link to your url |note the new shorter url must end in .com or it will not work|

place the new url in the following code replacing the blue text within the parenthesis

*div style="background-image:url(shorten url); background-repeat:no-repeat; background-position:center; width:1px; height:1px;"></div*

|note repace astricks * with <and>|

place this text in your about me section I advise putting as the very first line or very last

if this doesn't work for you well you're not doing it right I will not answer further questions

You are recommending cloaking the url? How honest is that?

There is a reason MySpace does not allow using such tracking software: it's their website, they allow what thya want and disallow what they want and you are only using it by agreeing to their terms and conditions. What part of "does not allow" don't you understand?

Default ok captain america

The thing is stupid kids are flooding boards with their stupid questions about myspace trackers and disreputable websites are misrepresenting themselves as specializing in myspace trackers then redirecting kids to **** or other BS products not to mention this is the number one method of "hacking" a myspace account. I don't advocate this I just don't care and considering there is a sticky that is woefully inaccurate on the subject I decided to school some idiots on the basics of website coding. not to mention I can't find anywhere they specifically forbid it. Honesty has nothing to do with html. Also you mentioned something about why myspace may have disabled javascript which was in error the reason was because a young kid created a script using java that added the entire network to his freinds list without their approval.

Hi there, it's not a very good idea to put any kind of tracking on your myspace profile. It can be deleted. If you look in your home page you can see how many profile visits you have had anyway.

I'm pretty sure I followed the directions given correctly, and it's still not working.
The only thing I can think of that could be causing this is that website I used to shorten the url. Are there any websites that you can recommend to shorten it that are legit?

You people don't want to understand that myspace does NOT allow ANY such tracking mechanism, no matter how you want to disguise it. They will block all attempts as they discover them.
