Default how to?

hi

Recently i have taken some web hosting of 100mb of space.

I have 1 small site on it at the moment, but i want to put some more on the same server space.

I know how to put the folders on the server, but what do i need to do to get each site working?

how does the web forwarding work?

do you mean you want to attach different domains and websites to the server space your renting

if i understand the question you can either redirect domain names to the folders your putting new websites in (however that way you'll never get in the search engines) or you'll need to upgrade your server space to a reseller service

No need fro a reseller space. Your hoster has to allow you to add add-on domains ont the same account.

Is the web space free from your ISP, free from somewhere else, or did you pay for it?

Do you want a different domain name for each site, or would you be happy with just a different folder name? Or perhaps just subdomains?

did you buy yourself 100 megs of a reseller account? If so ask Christina how to divy it up.

If you bought 100 megs of space then as Christina said your host has to allow ADD ON Domains, if you want separate domains with each having it's own domain name that you have already registered.

If you want just subdomains then you still have to be able to access cpanel or the like and set those up. Sub domains don't use their own domain names but a mix of the parent domain and the folder name.

depends on your server and control panel. basically you will have one controlling domain ie www.domain1.com - you then purchase wwwdomain2com and add this as an 'Add on Domain' which then needs to be pointed to the correct folder other wise it will just use the root domain1.com so add the domain and then point it www.domain1.com/domain2.com-folder-name

generally you just get a text box. you type in the folder address i.e. the /domain2-folder-name and the server does the rest - the folder is accessible as www.domain1.com/domain2-folder-name or as www domain2 com

edit: blooming eck who have thought domain2.com would be a valid domain lol

Obviously that only works if that account has been set up to allow add-on domains in the first place and the number hasn't already been used up.
