Default block my own i.p.

When I first signed up to statcounter I remember seeing an option to block my own i.p. address, I didn't do it then but would really like to do it now but can't find where to do it.

Can anyone help?!

Click the padlock icon next to a project and use Edit Project Settings. It's in there.

Hi Quickycards,

If you login to your account.

Click the 'wrench icon' beside a project name.

Click 'edit settings'.

The setting is available there.

Default dynamic ip

Is there a way to have statcounter automatically update your ip? Mine changes every few days.

Well you can block a range of ip's now. You alwas see your current ip on the left side, when you are on that page where you can block ip's.

As for automatically updating it based on what yours is - update it where? in the admin page? it needs to be told to block it (i.e. you have to initiate it from that function), it cannot be automatic because what's to differentiate your access to your site from my access to your site?

Your IP must have changed so you were blocking the old one but not the new one.

Since the "Get your BLOCKs off" and "What's in a name? A Rose by another name would smell as sweet" threads are closed, this 1 will do.

Its all under Murphys Law For Statcounter

Are there any plans to "group" ip address labels (since many users have many varying IP addresses) and beyond that - possibly categorize them ?
