Default Okay . . .

I found some typos (I think) . . .

Quote:
Every piece of the Borsa Collection is a hand-finished original work complete with distinctive hardware and finishings. This is not leather pieced together from scarps: this is full hide, carefully tanned, soft supple Italian calfskin, crafted by hand. Built to last by Italian artisans - it’s old world quality for today’s fast lifestyle. We're not saying Italians always do it better, but when it comes to styish, quality leather goods, they just might have the upper hand. The Borsa Collection is created in Tuscany, hand-crafted by the sort of folks who brought you Gucci, Prada, even Ferrari.
p.s.

Mike, as I was reading your front page, I felt as if I was required to hurry - - - I don't know why . . . Could it be the font?

Site looked OK to me. I too am not keen on the font. From an educational point of view - apparently the easiest and most clear font to read is comic sans but this is of course down to taste.

My better half says you bags are too expensive though - have you got owt for 50 quid?

cheers Neil

No CT ... I think it's the flash.

Mike, as nice as that flash is, I really wish it would stop after it's first cycle. I really had to apply myself to try and ignore it long enough to read the text, most of which was lost on me becasue of the distraction. I'm sure this is why China felt so 'rushed'.

Not a bad page but those images aren't best quality. They seem a bit diffused somehow. Maybe you've optimised them too far. (?)

Personally, I'm not keen on the large bold blue captions. There's a touch of 'homespun amateur' about them. Maybe it's the underlining ... maybe the size ... not sure. I certainly don't see why you need to put "Made in Italy" in each caption.

Technically, and I think I've commented on this with your site before, but I don't understand why you have such a huge number of blank lines in your code. Do View/source and you'll see tons of empty lines before you reach the code proper. That's just wasting space. In a similar vein, in FF there are tons of blank lines at the bottom of your page .... masses of empty space after the last logo.

Finally, according to W3C you have 109 errors on that page. Now I know not everyone is concerned about such things but some of the issues really can help you. For example, use the Alt tags. The Alt text is indexed by the SE's and you've used it on your main images, but use it also on your banner and every other image on the page. Most of those errors are very simply fixed and it's well worth the small effort it will take.

Sorry it's all a bit negative.

Neil, the Comic Sans font is actually much derided in the webmastering community. It's the sign of an amateur. Unless of course you are writing the text for comic strips.

I think the most elegant font is "Trebuchet MS", faling back on Arial which is always good.

I, too, scrolled to the bottom of the page in FireFox, and found an entire site's worth of "white space" at the bottom. When I refreshed, it changed size! IE Tab seemed to keep things the way they're supposed to be, and when I switched back to FireFox, the bottom had changed size yet again, though shrunken considerably.

As John said, take a look at those errors in coding. Something's definitely not working properly, and I suspect some of those coding errors may be throwing FF for a quirky loop.

Which reminds me, I should really check one of my new php-generated pages for compliance...

Obvisously a personal view but I wasn't keen on the site. I was drawn by the photobucket stuff as it took focus but that didn't take be towards wanting to buying.

People that know more than I will comment here but personnally I'd listen very carefully to their comments as I didn't find it a welcomming site.

And is

"We want your online shopping experience to be fun, safe, and secure. We will never sell, give, or loan any of your information to any company or person."

Really the best way of putting it?
