Default Vox Embed

Hey guys,
Vox (http://www.vox.com) have now allowed you to have a widget in your sidebar, but only in <embed> tags, no Javascript.

Is there any chance we can see an embeddable version of the wonderful counter?

Cheers!

Can you give an example of such a thing? What should go in an embed tag? An image maybe?

And you know embed is invalid acode, don't you?

Vox doesn't seem to allow you to add javascript.

So we can only give you the basic stats via our html counter option.

If you can get onto vox support we'd be delighted to work with them to enable statcounter to be added.

I don't make the rules at Vox I have to say I don't know the extent of what can be put into an embed tag. Can you shove Flash into it and maybe do some magic that way? I currently have the HTML image only put in there, but I want to know where my traffic is coming from so I can keep plugging away at advertising at those sites.

I'm more of a CSS/XHTML guy than I am a super-whizzy widgets man

I thought it was some fancy use of the embed tag.

Only the javascript from the code can track the url information. You need that, otherwise you cannot get it. There is no flash version.
