New User: Problems with a counter

The site www.x-dro.com is framed, across 2 different domains.

You cannot use the frames version in that case as it constitutes a violation to reach across domains to get parent referrer. You must use the regular counter, but then you won't have any referrer information other than the domain www.x-dro.com itself.

You need to be able to point your second domain as an add-on domain to its webspace, so that no framed forwarding is involved. Talk to your hoster if it's possible to do it.

You'd normally create a subdomain on your main domain, say http://x-dro.easybuildpools.net , mapped to the folder http://www.easybuildpools.net/x-dro/ as you have it right now.

Then you would add the domain www.x-dro.com as an add-on domain mapped to that subdomain.

For this you need the hoster to enable the use of add-on domains so that a dns zone will be created for the add-on domain. The the add-on domain will look to everybody like a standalone domain, even though it shares the webspace with your main domain.

Hi again. I didn't get a chance to do anything about making the changes you suggested, but the counter started working perfectly about 7-10 days ago.

I've noticed today that it is no longer functioning again. Have you got any idea why it started working, but has stopped again?

Do not use the frames version, use the regular version.

You may not use the frames verison since your frame and frameset are on different domains.
