But I guess SC doesn't listen too well, so they will start to lose users like they have just lost me. Bye.

I guess some people just cannot comprehend and follow instructions.

First time you show up and with no effort to understand the issue you just up and decide you don't have any responsibility.

Well, I use firefox and only stay logged in for a few minutes before having to sign in again. I am accepting cookies etc.

I don't have this problem with other sites. Occasionally I won't auto-log in after not visiting for a while; but I never have to relog in during a session, like happens here after a few minutes.

edit - LOL after I wrote this and hit post, I had to log in again before it posted. Sigh..

I'm using IE 6.0 and up until a few months ago used to have no problems remaining logged in and it would stay like that forever unless I deleted my cookies, but then one day it just wouldn't keep me logged in anymore and still doesn't today.

And yes cookies are enabled and all the rest of it, before anyone says... It just won't keep me logged in at all, and not with 'remember me' checked either.

Really annoying. Anyone have a fix?

Clearing the cookies and starting over worked for me:

OK. I was also having a problem with logging in, too. Every time I logged in I'd get an error message saying my login failed, BUT my username and password would show up in the proper spaces anyway -- just click and I'm in. A pain, but the real problem was that I kept puking up my blocker cookie, it wouldn't stay in, and my own visits would show up in the stats.

I'm using Iceweasel (unbranded Firefox) 2.0.0.9 with Linux, and the browser is set to a) accept cookies and b) keep 'em until they expire. And every other site, it did that. My cookie log showed it kept most of yours too, just not the ones I needed. Y'all must've put extra butter on 'em, or something.

So, as suggested, I cleared out all the cookies and started over. All appears to be fine now.

Well I worked out why the cookie wasn't working for me.

It looks like "Spybot - Search & Destroy" puts a whole load of sites in Firefox's "Cookie Exceptions" list - and one of those is statcounter.com!

To fix it just do:
Tools/Options/Privacy/Exceptions/Find "statcounter.com" and Remove it.

I moved from IE a couple weeks ago and about the only problem I'm having is that firefox appears to be deleting cookies after a couple days. For instance, I visit several forums atleast once a day that need login info for entry. In IE I could go months without having to type in login info because the site got the info from a cookie. But in firefox every couple days I need to manually login . *************

I don't see anything in options that could be handicapping the cookies, so I don't know what's up.

I think that other friends have the same problem.

Right. And for this lame excuse you decided to spam the forum and use a link hidden in your post and set the text in white, promoting some cat food website on Googlepages of all things.

How would you like Google to be informed that the site you so wanted to promote is using spamming techniques? It can be arranged very easily.
