Adsense earnings drop now the spam has gone!

Sharron remember this when she pointed out that I had a problem with Spam on my parenting forum. In fact it was a daily fight on all 3 forums. Everyday I seemed to be spending most of the day deleting Spam posts. In the end I was able to finally find a way to almost stop all Spam and apart from the odd spam post I am free. I've beaten the automated spam it would seem. YES!

ummm however when I was getting the spam I was also getting more traffic and a few pennies from Adsense. Now i'm getting less traffic and back to very little from Adsense. Seems they could be related, your views? I know my traffic does drop during holiday times as I get a lot from schools, especially U.S. but not as much as it has.

I would be interested in reading your views.

Because no one can see your forum unless they are registered. thats a sure killer of visitors. Very few will sign up unless they can at least have a look... and, no, a test membership aint the same

Anyone can view my forums, you can't post unless you're registered but you can view any of the forums with the exception of one members only area on the parenting forum which I created this week. Still I can't see how this would be the reason for the drop in adsense earnings since the spam was removed as I am assuming the spammers don't click the ads.
