Default Search Engines and Links

Do/can google et al put the same relevance to a link to for example http://forum.statcounter.com/vb/show...880#post193880 as they to a tinyurl version of that link e.g. http://tinyurl.com/2p5k8z ?

Or is the latter treated as a link to tinyurl and if so can that harm the referring site?

The tinyurl is irrelevant. It does a 301 redirection to wherever:

http://oyoy.eu/page/headers/?full=1&...l.com%2f2p5k8z

So the tinyurl won't get indexed, but rather its target will.
