oh scary checking out links to me via google sitemap info

I noticed at the topish side of the long list, Numb 6 and 7 of 1 to 30 of 2950, two odd links. So I went to check them out via two new tabs.

Both tabs showed 404 in the bar, I'd not yet gone to the tabs to see. But I could see 404's in both.

I thought this was odd as the google deal stated that both links had been found there on Sep 9, 2007.

So I though hmmmm, 404's already?

I went to one tab, and a pop up asking me if I wanted to save something. Behind it was a page with some very questionable links etc. I said of course NO!

Then I closed that tab, the other tab although showing the 404 was loading a video of some sort. I closed it quickly.

Both those links to to the same site, although different pages, and something to do with cartoons and german shepherds! I'll not post those links here in case those were nafarious occurances.

But if anyone knows what might be going on, could ya tell me?
