Default 1and1

1and1 just came 3rd in the PC Pro Awards for the Web Host category of 2007

how bad do the nominees who came below 3rd have to be, 1and1 is probably the worst web host company i've ever used or heard of in fact this is the 1st time i've ever heard anything good said about them (and frankly i dont believe it), they are c**p on every level, put your website on 1and1 if you hate it

We have been with 1and1 virtually since the inception of Shareworld (2 years) and can honestly say we have never had any problems whatsoever with their hosting and are not surprised that they have achieved this position.

I've been with 1and1 for about three years and never had a serious problem, a few minor issues but usually resolved quickly enough.

I did get worried a while back because so many people slagged them off but personally never had a reason to go elsewher for hosting.

I do remember people saying moving can be a problem but I've moved the domain name registration for the majority of my sites and not had an issue (so far).

I can only speak as I find, like everyone else.

From the PC Pro site

"To make this list, the companies must have beaten the industry average for customer support, reliability and customer satisfaction. With opinions given on over 5,000 different web-hosting packages this is the UK's most comprehensive survey of its kind."

Hmmm, complaints about a webhost, sounds familiar! Though my host recently cleared up all the problems I was having (only ones left are my own ) and now we're flying along quite nicely!
