Log ????

On the statcounter log the default is 500 entries. What happens when it reaches 500 entries? Does it continue to capture and drop the oldest entry out of the log, or does it stop logging altogether?

It doesn't stop. It keeps rolling. It drops the oldest entry as it adds the newest one. So you always have the latest 500 entries.

The summary stats go on forever though.

You are right about the log file dropping the oldest entries. You always have details for the most recent 500 page loads.
