Several of my clients use StatCounter (upgraded accounts) and I'd love to be able to bring their stats into the CMS they use on a daily basis. I've also considered developing a custom gadget or widget for them and for myself to monitor the day's traffic.

I second that. Are there any steps being taken towards this?

i've also considered making my own tracking tool to embed in a CMS but if statcounter could provide a simple API it would be the ultimate solution.

This would be wonderful. If StatCounter would provide some way for specific user accounts to access their stat data it would be a great service. I use StatCounter for all of my web projects, but would like to embed the stats directly into my CMS.
This could easily be a "upgrade only" option. I have a client that wants a major upgrade and one of his requests is stat reports that all of his departments can view - by department. I can write a simple page view system for this but would much prefer to give them all the tools that StatCounter offers. |
