When I checked my stat tonight I noticed a 'strange' hit on one of my webpages.
It was simply: ;ct.1/01 When I placed my cursor on the link, which came from Athens, Georgia, it read: http//:my5.statcounter.com/2;ct.1/01 I tried to follow the link and received Error 404. Any idea what it could be? Just curious.

It's the result of somebody using a browser add-on that prefetches all pages and files of a website while he's only laoded one page in the browser. As the pre-fetch tool got around to load the url of the img tag which is the Statcounter tracker in the noscript section (or as html-only tracker), this of course triggers the tracking script and logs the hit. The url of that img tag becomes the page visited (or maybe referrer).
Now the url you posted appears to be broken - malformed. Did you by chance type it manually? Or was it broken in your stats? Which particular stats were you checking? Can you find it in Recent Pageloads?

Webado, I'm afraid I can't be much help now as I posted that about the strange url on February 27th.
The url was exactly as I typed it: http//:my5.statcounter.com/2;ct.1/01 I couldn't copy and paste it but I did make sure I got it correct. As most of my pages are based on country music, it was probably someone in Atlanta checking on Jerry Reed!

Oh sorry. Got blinded by that spammer's post that raked up your thread and didn't see your date.
Should have done what my instinct old me to do and just delete all his posts
