Default How to create Logo/icon in website url address bar?

HI!

Anybody help me, how to create an icon in the website address bar when we type our URL in the address bar?

For eg: If we type the url like: www.google.com in our ie address bar, and then press enter key, it displays the home page also an icon for google ( G )shows in the left-hand side of http://

How to make it? Please help.

That's called a favicon.

Check out http://www.chami.com/html-kit/services/favicon/ for an online tool to make a favicon from your own graphic.

You upload the graphic favicon.ico to the root of the website.

You add the link to the favicon to the head of each page.

To be able to view favicons in IE, you need to enable personalized favorites menus.

And be armed with patience because IE typically doesn't like to show them most of the time.

Once you have created and uploaded your favicon, use the following example between your <head> and </head> tags.

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon">
<link rel="icon" href="favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon">

The favicon.ico should be in the same directory that your main page is in.
