Default Why is 'statcounter.com' showing 'insurancepad.com'?

I've been trying to check my web stats all afternoon, and every time I go to statcounter.com, the website that appears is 'insurancepad.com'.... this is not the first time this has happened. When I tried to call the 800 number for insurancepad.com (1.800.264.1181) to see if they knew what happened, a recording said it was not a valid number... does anyone know what is going on?

thanks

This won't be because of anything on Statcounter's end.

It is getting redirected somehow. Got a "bug" in your computer? If you picked up something bad, it could be redirecting; it's very common.

Scan, scan, scan!

ok... just logged off and tried again, this time in Safari- no luck. Then I tried FireFox again... and insurancepad.com is still coming up instead of statcounter.com..

very strange- the last time this happened (several months ago) it took days before I was able to actually find StatCounter at statcounter.com

I'm not experiencing this problem when I visit any other sites; nor have I ever had this problem with any site other than StatCounter... puzzling indeed

Well seeing as you are on a Mac , it must be an ISP problem.

my Mac just crossed its arms, nodded its head and said 'ABRACADABRA'..... and statcounter.com showed (guess what)– statcounter.com! ... when I asked the Mac what was wrong the whole time, it just shrugged...

thanks Car Guy!
