I was just nosing around on whois.sc, looking up a domain name to register for someone, and decided to look up my name -- for which I've already registered the .org. According to whois.sc, the .com is "Registered - no website"; however, I also looked it up on Godaddy, and they say it is Available! Does anyone have any past experience with this?

Hi Mark
I've seen this before, if you punch a domain name into a registras "check the name" box and they cant auto connect to the whois database you may get a false - is free - result, always try to go direct to the registration body for a double check, or even another source. Rich |

Well, I got my domain name, and the other one I needed to register! GD upped their "sale price" to $9.99
Now, my next question, do I redirect them using 301 or 302? I'm going to direct the domains to subdomains on Fuzzy World 3, for the time being anyways. |

You need to do 301 redirections.

While registering the domains, these sort of things does happen usually. Yahoo domain registering and even Godaddy are not exceptions.
