Default Download tracking..

What a delight seeing the download activity.. as a heavy user of PDFs I find the statistics very useful..

Now my question - Why would two PDFs track on a site but a third not.. I have tested by downloading on a PC other than mine but see no count. To be more specific there seems to be zero downloads of what is the most popular PDF on the site..

I am open to any & all suggestions..

Regards.. Styx

I have a page with javascript code which opens a window containing a PDF file

How do I record the number of hits on the PDF file?

Get rid of the Javascript and make a plain HTML link to the file. At least for me, the PDF reader opens on top of the browser with the file loading in the reader, not in the browser. And that's how it should be.

Thanks, it now works a treat. My reason for the javascript was to display the PDF file inside a smaller browser window positioned inside the main window.
Getting a stat of the hits on the PDF file is of more importance, once again thanks for your quick response.
