Default Vista and Xp don't show the same thing

Got a problem all of a sudden.

I cannot see the flash on the splash page on thsi site: www.melinas-music.com when I use my Vista pc (in IE7).

I can see it fine when I use my XP pc (also IE7).
I can also see in FF from my Vista machine. Just not in Ie7 ....

What in blazes is wrong? It's as if swfobject no longer works suddenly.
Javascript is on.

Anybody else has a problem with that?

Stupid recent update of IE7 seems to be the cause of this.
I needed to reinstall Flash.

Seems thsi happend also last year (beginning of 2007) because the site where I found my solution (to install again flash) was mentioning the same problem back then.

Gawd!

I have no problems with either of my browsers, SeaMonkey and IE7, on my Vista. As I can see my IE was last updated 101008

Well there was obviously another update aimed at Vista, because it had been working fine until afew days ago and then not until I upgraded the flash player again.

That should not have been an issue since I am not using a swf file that requires anything higher than flash 6.

Must have been the ActiveX component used by IE7 in Vista that got somehow out of sync with the current Flash plugin used.

Only swf embedded using the swfobject script (I am using the old one) got affected, not any swf used in the regular Satay method. So something in swfobject when it interacts with the DOM made it not work until the flash plugin got updated.
