Default Google - This site may harm your computer.

Is it my laptop but Google (.com, .fr and .co.uk) returns this warning for every site for any search?

I also get a 502 server error when I try to follow google's support link

Methinks they're being a tad too sensitive? Or maybe someone has gone away for the weekend and forgot to turn the "Nanny Switch" off. Maybe Bill hasn't really retired!

Do you think this will have a long term effect on people's confidence in google?

well it seems google has a dns glitch, but for us website owners its a bit of a downer as we are losing a lot of natural search traffic.

looks at your statcounter hits, my last google result was about an hour ago.

heres the news

Default Try this

iXQuick.com

You may be surprised... they claim to be the world's only search that does not log your ip. The world's most private search engine.

I have been wanting to post this for some time. Now is the opportunity.

We ought to be scrapping Google, MSN, and Yahoo and others because they track us, compile profiles, and then resell the info they gather on you.

Not ixquick - at least not soon.

I just surfed Google and there is nothing going on like you all describe.

Still I have defaulted ixquick as my main search. Did that a week ago.

If more people switched to ixquick do you think the big boy searches would offer similar privacies to get us all back? I do. We ought to collectively form a search privacy lobby.

Tuned into a program a few nights ago where the topic was Big Brother and Internet Privacy. The person interviewed said she had heard about ixquick, did research on them and liked what she found out. So I followed up.

Just because ixquick says they don't track ips does not mean they don't. I trust they don't.

Well, they seem to have the harm your computer part worked out. Seems that the color for the visited site is hot sticking though. Might be my cache, but I don't think so. Does fine in Yahoo search. Once I visit a link, it shows as a darker color. Google does until i leave and then it changes back to blue.
