Hi
I'm not sure it it is a delay in the stats or if I made a mistake when placing a second code in my site. Yesterday I noticed that I had no visits registered at all, so I destroyed the blocking cookie and visited all the pages. Still nothing. I thought that maybe later they would show, but today I take a look at those stats and it says that there were no visits. Well I actually lie. It registered only one but not mine. So, today I made the same, still without blocking cookie, I've visited the site but I still can't see my visits. And the record for today is CERO Could someone take a look there and tell me if the code is placed correctly? I thought it was... And also I could corroborate that other people visits are being tracked and if I have no logs is just because no one wants to visit the site no longer Thanks a lot Ah btw the pages I placed the code in were: gmingenieria.com/productos/seguridad/galeria/trabajos_1.html and all the links inside it --- partition=57 I've just read someone is having issues and has the same partition I'll wait and see if they solve. Maybe there's no error in my code Last edited by nimraithkar; 08-04-2009 at 07:36 AM. |

I'm not technically knowledgable but it looks to me as if the second code on your page is the MySpace version. I suspect it's possibly not correct either, since there is no partition number in the statcounter url.
Remove that code and reinstall it, and see if that fixes your problem. Let us know. |

Nothing wrong with the codes, both seems to be correct. And MySpace has nothing to do with it, SC just "advertise" that the counter can be used with MS pages.
You mention only the newly added code on partition 57, so I assume the "old" code works and logs hits? Re: the problems reported yesterday, it may be that all partitions are not solved and I will report your issue with partition 57. |

Just to confirm what Arne said.
Both codes are installed well and hits have been recorded to both StatCounter projects today (3691707 + 495684 |

Hi again. Thank you all for the help. Thanks Arne for reporting the issue
Well I mentioned only the second code because it is the new one, and the other is placed in the whole site, so I can't be sure if it is registering visits to every page or just the pages with just one code... mmmh I am not clear I guess :/ Anyway it is tracking now. I found I have a visit from someone from UK that visited 5 pages and got there by copying the link in the google search. And a couple of other visits that landed in the same link. But I am not seeing my visits! I cleared cache (I know it maybe has nothing to do but...) Turned off/on/off... pc logged in/out sc several times created/destroyed cookie at least 3 times along the day And I still can't see my visits Why? |

First, the "old" code is logging hits to all your pages, assuming you have the code on all of them, to the project you have for that counter. It is you "over all" counter to see all visits to your site. The new counter should be on a separate project where you see only hits to the pages where you have both counter codes.
Could you see them before you blocked your visits with the cookie? All I can think of now, is that perhaps your browser are not allowing 3rd party images? You can test that by logging in your account and on then on any or both of the projects you have, see if the browser loads the "Recent Visitor Map" (from left hand menu) as that is a 3rd party image from Google Maps. If it's not loaded properly you need to change your browser settings to allow all images. How you do that depends on what browser you have. |

It is working fine right now
I'm not sure what did I touch or what of the steps corrected what was blocking my visits, but now I can see my visits again. Thanks for the help! Quote:
