You have the counter duplicated at least 10 times, I gave up counting.

You should only have the code ONCE on each page of your site.

You also have the counter code placed in the <head> section of the page, it will not work there.

You should have it just BEFORE the closing body tag, </body> on the page.

You need to remove all the counter codes and start over.

Default stats duplication

Hey CarGuy. thanks for the help. I have deleted all the stats counter code and placed it where you suggest. It STILL keeps duplicating itself and it places itself at the top of the webpage?? I use NVU wysiwyg page builder and think I shall have to delete the whole stat counter and look for a different one, I cant figure this out???

How are you installing the counter code? Your problem is how you are installing it.

What you need to do, is to use the source code to edit your page, any other means will cause you problems. Don't use Widgets or gadgets to install the code.

1 - Open your web page in your editing program.
2 - Go to "source" or "html" view so that you are looking at the source code.
3 - Now copy the code from your project "install code" page, paste this in Notepad. You do this because some browsers corrupt the counter code.
4 - Now copy again from Notepad.
5 - Scroll down to the bottom of your page, locate the </body> tag.
6 - Place your cursor just at the beginning of it and hit Enter to drop it down.
7 - Now place your cursor above the tag and paste the counter code here.

<!-- Start of StatCounter Code -->

Counter code in here

<!-- End of StatCounter Code -->

</body>
</html>

8 - Save your page and upload to your site.
9 - Now load your page from the internet and view the page's source code from your browser (Edit from the menu bar). It should look just like it did in "source" mode in your editing program.
10 - Scroll down and look at the counter code, it should look exactly like it did before you saved it.

It should now work.

The bug is in how you are building your web pages, sorry, nothing to do with Statcounter.

You simply must not use a WYSIWYG editor for things like this. Use Notepad.

You still have a ton of it. Did you save? did you upload?
