Hello.
I run a hobby website as a tribute to my late father: www.hglambert.co.uk I'm getting hits via Statcounter to a multitude of sites e.g. http://hglambert.co.uk/thj-set-squar...re-angles.html http://hglambert.co.uk/thj-rossi-92-...ver-sight.html These obviously have nothing to do with my site, but have somehow invaded my site! I've checked with my web host and all appears normal. All help gratefully received, both on how do they do that, and also what i can do to stop it. Many thanks, Ian |

Are these links to your site from external sites or are they internal links i.e. from a page on your site?

The Javascript part contains only the project number, a partition number, and no security code. The text on the left side of the front page (shows on the cached page from Google) has several links to other pages that also looks like they are on your site. Only by hoovering the text you can see the links when the Javascript change the text color. Since the cached page has your Statcounter code, you see the hits to it. I would say your site has been hacked at one time. If you can't find the intruders content in your pages on the server, or off line (in your computer) you can't do much about the cached page. But what you should do, is to remove the Javascript for the menu. You can get the same effect for the menu with CSS. You should also reinstall the counter code, so you can get an up to date version, with the security code and without the project number that is not needed anymore. |
