Meanwhile in the Netherlands everyone is already is talking and want to know what to do with the cookie law adopted in the Netherlands (and in Europe).
Can you tell me if I can use statcounter without any problem use statcounter under the European Cookie law, or under the stricter Dutch Cookie law?. Does excists a Statcounter version that can be used in Europa, whithout any cookie law problem? If not is it a possibility (I think so at the moment) that Statcounter makes a version like that ? At the moment as far as I know thers is no alternative. Even Google Analitics if forbidden under Dutch law at the moment Dutch lawyers tels us. |

There is a Cookie Opt-Out option in the project configuration.
If you choose to use that, no Statcounter cookies will be set to the visitors computers/browsers. Of course, If you disable the use of cookies some stats are affected. |

It is not (only) about cookies. The law in The Netherlands is about not registering IP-adresses. It is also forbidden in an aggregated way, to register IP-adresses and anything that is related to anything that can be interpreteted as personal.
