I am logged in, click on My Projects, and get the following error

Database error

A link to the database server '66.98.150.6' could not be established

Our statcounter is on partition 0.

It was working fine all day.

Hmm.. yes, it seems to have gone south a bit.

It's the My projects page that doesn't work.

But you can actually access the individual projects, if you are already logged in.

For instance I happen to have bookmarked Recent Pageloads for one of mine:

http://my.statcounter.com/project/standard/pageload.php?project_id=XXXXXXX

Use your project ID value which you can find on any page where you use the code in the line:

var sc_project=XXXXXXX

I know it's PITA at the moment, especially for those who may have mroe than one project.

I will report this in case the Statcounter team may not be aware of it.

Sad that did not work for me. I tried to access recent pageload activity that way and still got the database error. It is no sweat if it is happening to others. I guess it will get resolved and mucho thanks!:)

Strange that it did not work for you. Are you already logged in?

You can tell if you are as you will see:

Welcome Back

My Projects | Log Out

on the left side near the login box.

You cannot access "My projects" right now.

You can access an individual project if you know it's number.

At least I can access most of mine that way.

But I think maybe you are right. I just ran itno one I could not access...

Hmm, maybe it is on the same server as that My projects database.

That one project is on partition 0, server c1.

Other partitions apepar to be ok as far as accssing individual project stats.

Same here

A link to the database server '66.98.150.6' could not be established.

On one site the counter is not at all visible,as text or numbers, on another the counter is there but the above error message loads when I attempt to log in.

Chuck, those are 2 different problems. The database is Statcounter's problem.
The forum login and all that is your cookie problem :)

Chuck, Michael,

Please accept our apologies for the service disruption - we encountered a server problem overnight, but this has since been fully resolved. Please check out the "Service Status" forum for a full explanation.

Many thanks for your patience and support.

alls well now

I permit and like cookies, but the problem persists.
But ...... all is well with Statcounter now. and that is good.
thanks for the help, chrisooc and Jenni......consistently.....Statcounter is the best.

the cookie prob seems to have passed, I don't have to login, in between every task or command.

Go Gators!

Chuck, it never rains but pours :)

As long as you're having one problem might as well have all of them - provided they all get fixed at the same time too
