    Hi!

I have extracted the visitor paths from my Statscounter GUI to Excel.

For example in the visitor paths page 15/7 14:37:51 a user with IP 94.234.34.222 visited our page. When I use the extract to excel function found in the top right corner I can also in the resulting excel-file see a user visiting at this time. But in column B (IP number) it says 1592402654.

In other words, the IP numbers miss-match. This is a error I see on all visitors.

Have I misunderstood how to interpret this or is there an error?

    Many thanks for your help!

    Best regards,
    Johannes

Sorry I cannot replicate this, no matter which of the 3 types of downloads I use.

    Hi!

Attached is printscreens of what I get when clicking the excel-extraction on Visitor paths as well as of what I see in click cease. As you can see they differ in IP. Also the IP-structure seen in the excel looks a bit strange since there are no "." included.

(I got errors when attaching excel-files, so therefore I sent as printscreens instead.)

You mentioned three different ways of extraction. What are the other ways?

    Thanks!

I am referring to downloading the log. You can download that in 2 flavors of csv and as xlsx.

Now I see what you downloaded and from where. It's from the little icons indicating csv and xls at the top right of the Visitor Paths report.

Hmmm... Yeah, those are not IP addresses. Perhaps those are the keys for searching in the geo-database which are translated from the actual IPs via a computation.

Yes, indeed, the computation involved is this php script:

    Code:
    <?php $IPADDRESS_NO_DOTS =  sprintf("%u", ip2long($IPADDRESS)); ?>
where $IPADDRESS is the detected IP address (in IPV4 format), and $IPADDRESS_NO_DOTS is what you got in your csv files.

    No matter, not useful.

    I'd say it's a bug.

Yes, its those small icons I used for downloading the files. Was there some other way could I download this data with the correct IPs?

    Many thanks for your help!

You can download the entire log, last option in the left sidebar "Download logs".

    Aha, found it. That works.

However, Im missing information about what device type that was used. That info could be found in the visitor path excel file.

    For visitor paths you get:
Browser Name, Browser Version, Operating System, etc....

For the entire log you get:
    Browser, Version, OS, etc....

So you get all the same info, with slightly different titles, just not necessarily in the same order.

Well browser, version, OS and resolution should provide the same info.

The device only says: mobile, tablet, desktop.
